Benefits of CCNA

The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is an entry-level networking certification. After completing candidates should be able to productively carry out any number of essential networking, upholding and troubleshooting duties such as installing, configuring and operating LAN, WAN and dial access services for small networks. You should also be able to have good working knowledge of protocols such as IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLAN's, Ethernet and Access Lists.

There are no prerequisites to CCNA, but it should be treated as an intermediate certification. Those who have no prior knowledge about networking should lay their foundation by taking CompTIA Network. CCNA certification is itself a prerequisite to CCNP, CCSP and the CCIE.
